Intimate, familiar and festive, this is how Baobab Suites conceives Christmas. And that is the spirit that you can breathe these days at the hotel. In its Bite Buffet restaurant, everything is ready to celebrate one of the most familiar and intimate meals of the year. Flowers are the main element of a decoration that reflects the principles of the Baobab World: sustainability, tranquillity and a luxury far from ostentation. This luxury is reflected in the flowers that the florist and decorator Miguel Ángel Delgado has chosen for this celebration. Delgado plays with the colours black and white in his floral centrepieces, choosing the white magnum as the protagonist.
It’s a very pretty flower, very peaceful”, she explains. The space and the restaurant’s furnishings have been the guiding threads in choosing the flowers to decorate it. “For me, black and white represent elegance, they are very subtle,” says the florist and decorator. “They are colours that go with everything, very clean”. And to enhance that sense of serene and elegant luxury, the flower he has chosen fits perfectly with the message he wants to convey. The white magnum is a flower that seems ostentatious because of its hemispherical shape and the repetition of petals it presents, and creates a very glamorous contrast with the straight lines that dominate the space of the Bite Buffet.
The menu is designed to please all tastes. “A holiday meal has to be hearty and cater for everyone. These are very special dates and people are especially sensitive,” explains Eva Bascones, commercial director of Baobab Suites. “Our job is to look after everyone’s experience and make sure it is satisfactory.
At a time when the hotel has improved its Baobab Gastro concept, gastronomy is gaining strength at Baobab Suites. “The zero kilometre, local or proximity concept weighs in all our choices as a new path that helps us to achieve naturalness, authenticity and sustainability,” Bascones explains. This concept can be seen in the Christmas menu that the hotel will offer to those who have chosen to celebrate this holiday with their families and friends. The menu offers hot and cold soups, a buffet that includes dishes such as pears stuffed with cream cheese and malvasia, tuna tartar with wasabi roe or seafood rice, live cooking, a carving area and a vegetarian corner for those who have chosen another type of diet.
PARTY NIGHT TO CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR
To celebrate life, to toast to a new year full of good times and happiness, that is the wish Baobab Suites wants to share with everyone. For this reason, it has prepared a New Year’s Eve Gala to enter 2024 with joy as a talisman.
On this occasion, the hotel has organised two different services. “We always like our guests to have options and they can choose what they like the most”, confirms Eva Bascones.
One of the services will take place at the New Bite Restaurant. The evening will begin in the evening, around 19.00 h, with a welcome drink, which will be enlivened by the performance of a soloist. From 20.00 h dinner will follow, with another soloist providing the background music. Shortly before midnight, guests will be invited up to the BB Lounge Bar to toast the New Year with a glass of champagne. Afterwards, the party will be livened up by a DJ and will go on as long as the body can take it. To regain strength between dances, there will also be a small buffet-style snack at the BB Lounge Bar.
“In addition to a dinner at Bite, we have also prepared a different menu, served in the BB lounge Club and only for adults, for those who wish to dine while enjoying the most impressive, panoramic and cosmopolitan views of the entire Costa Adeje,” adds the commercial director of Baobab Suites. “The cotillion, the great classic, of course, is included and is distributed at the beginning of both dinners”.
The decoration of these spaces is also the work of Miguel Ángel Delgado. For this occasion, the decorator has opted for small flowers that evoke the birth of a new year, playing with very fresh colours, salmon, orange, mustard and a touch of lilac. Crassulas and tabaiba branches, two plants native to the island, will form part of the decoration being prepared by Delgado, who was also born in Tenerife, in the municipality of Arona. In this way, the Canary Islands will also be present at the Baobab Suites New Year’s Eve Gala.
